This September, a major fashion series debuts on CNN International, a round-up of the global trends and events shaping the 2012 spring / summer season, featuring some of the biggest names in the industry.
Hosted by CNN anchor Monita Rajpal, ‘The Fashion Season’ series walks the catwalks of New York, London, Milan, culminating in Paris Fashion Week, where the eyes of the fashion world will be focused on what to wear next year.

Beauty trends: Beauty products, cosmetics and fragrance lines generate the largest profits for most fashion labels; a focus on the hairstyles, colours and looks from the catwalk. Plus Chinese supermodel Liu Wen, the symbol of the most important consumer market.

Since the 1800s, fashion parades have taken place in Paris when the shows became a way to tell the press and consumers how wardrobes can be renewed for yet another season. ‘The Fashion Season’ follows the preparation, performance and reaction to the runway spectacle. Interviews will include Karla Otto, international fashion publicist, and the coolest fashion blogger of the moment, Bryan Boy.
