South African Marie Claire magazine announced the local winners of the prestigious Marie Claire Prix d’Excellence de la Beauté 2011 at an awards ceremony hosted by Edgars at the Radisson Blu Gautrain Hotel in Sandton. The awards are run in conjunction with the international Marie Claire Prix d’Excellence de la Beauté, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year,’ says Aspasia Karras, editor of Marie Claire. ‘In a quarter of a century these beauty awards have become a global reference point in the beauty universe and there is no difference in South Africa as they are the most anticipated and coveted beauty awards.’
