As I was on the tube on Saturday night, I couldn’t help but notice three girls sat infront of me who were dressed like typical twenty-something girls on a ‘night out on the town’. What caught my interest was the fact that they were all wearing a different selection of fabulous headwear. It got me thinking that this season, it’s all about adding some ‘zsazsazu’ into your hair through hair accessories. What is so great about this season’s selections of scarves, bows, hats, fascinators etc is that they are multifunctional. They can be used to cover bad hair days or to jazz up an otherwise simple outift and they can be used to make a statement.
Here is a little selection of the hair accessorises I liked in the s/s 10 catwalks-
Dsquared used trucker caps to enhance the camping theme that coursed strongly through each look of their collection.
In Marni, every model sported a colourful, graphic printed hippie head scarf.
Here models wore fascinators that complimented the retro vibe of the Sonia Rykiel collection.
A sporty chic look dominated the Hermes catwalk and models wore head accessories to match in the shape of headbands and smart visor caps.
Lacoste perfected the ‘I’m going to a French resort for the summer darling’ look by featuring summer hats in his collection.
And saving the best for last- each model in the Marc by Marc Jacobs show stomped down the catwalk wearing the cutest colourful bunny-esque bows.
